"Voronezh. Chapters of History "- a series of books by Sazhinskiy Confectionery"

  Sazhinskiy Confectionary highly appreciates the historical heritage of its business and its city. For this reason, seven years ago we started the publication of a series of books "Voronezh. Chapters of History».

  The first book under this name was written in 2011. It contains a description of the history of the entire Voronezh region from the times of Ancient Rus to the present. The book covers the process of the city creation from a social, industrial and administrative point of view. "This book is a bright and lively narrative, elegantly combining a huge amount of factual material and a fascinating style of presentation," - says Alexey Gordeyev, ex-governor of the Voronezh region.

  The second book "Voronezh. Chapters of history. Spice cake" was published in 2016. This edition is devoted to the culture of spice cakes production. It shows the history of spice cake creation from the earliest times. Spice cakes were already known before the Common Era, they were made from a mixture of flour, honey and spices. The book also describes the appearing and development of spice cake culture in Russia. It contains examples of a variety of spice cake recipes and ways of making them from different peoples. The book presents illustrations of various kinds of spice cakes cooked all over Russia from ancient times and on.

  The third book "Voronezh. Chapters of history. Chizhovskaya Sloboda" was published in 2018. It tells about the events that took place on the spot where the Sazhinskiy Confectionery Plant is located today, namely, in the territory of the oldest district of Voronezh - Chizhovskaya Sloboda. The publication describes the most significant stages of its development - from settlement to post-war time.

  At the end of January 2018, during the visit of the Voronezh Region Governor Alexander Gusev to the new production site of Sazhinskiy Confectionary in Novaya Usman, the head of the enterprise, Sergei Sazhin, presented to the head of the region administration a book prepared for printing.
