Spice cake art by Sazhinskiy Confectionary at the fest «Spice cake Day»

  On August 3, the Tula Kremlin hosted the IV Interregional Festival «Spice cake Day»  where 38 manufacturers from 14 regions of Russia presented their products.

  The central platform of the festival was the spice cake fair with the workshops on their making and decorating.

  Sazhinskiy Confectionary pleased the guests of the festival not only with a wide range of spice cakes of various tastes, shapes and fillings, but also with a spice cake composition weighing 170 kg - a scene from the cartoon «Once upon a time there was a dog».

  Every hero and every detail of the «wedding feast» is a work of confectionery art! More than 100 kg of gingerbread cakes and 50 kg of stuffing from natural prunes were used to create the composition. Artists-decorators worked as sculptors - cutting off excesses and creating characters from gingerbread dough. To make the characters look «alive», they used sugar syrup, icing and natural dyes. The craftsmen of the confectionary have been creating this installation for more than two weeks.

  The guests of the festival, willing to try this piece of gingerbread art, had to line up half an hour before the tasting. Everyone could taste Voronezh dessert, the extraordinary taste of the product was appreciated by about thousand people!

  For Sazhinskiy creating a gingerbread masterpiece is not only a way to surprise guests and participants of the festival, but also an opportunity to demonstrate a new movement in the art of spice cake creation!
